Information on the Business Continuity Management Policy in TAURON Group

TAURON Group is the energy corporation which operates across all links of the value-added chain in the field of electricity and heat, i.e. it is active in particular in the areas of electricity generation and distribution, heat generation and distribution, as well as electricity and heat trading.

Ensuring the availability, reliability and quality of the deliveries of products and services to the customer and maintaining business continuity is a priority for TAURON Group, embedded in TAURON Group's strategy 2022-2030 with an outlook until 2050.

TAURON Group has in place the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) compliant with the requirements of PN-EN 150 22301:2020 - Security and resilience: Business continuity management systems - Requirements. It is a collection of international best practices for the effective management of the operations of TAURON Group during the materialisation of business continuity risk.

TAURON Group, as the entity responsible for providing the key services including electricity and heat generation and distribution, is committed to:

Fulfil the requirements concerning the BCMS in TAURON Group, which result, among others, from legal, regulatory, organisational, industry and good practice requirements, taking them into account in the internal corporate regulations in force in TAURON Group; Identify key services and processes in terms of their availability (critical services, critical processes) for internal and external customers and conduct the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for them and identify risks and assess them as part of the Risk Analysis (RA), Ensure adequate resources, mechanisms and means for the due functioning of the BCMS in TAURON Group; Develop, maintain, test, document and improve Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DPPs) to ensure that TAURON Group entities continue to operate without any interruptions in the event of unexpected situations disrupting normal functioning, including emergency events; Continuously improve the BCMS in TAURON Group.

The Business Continuity Management Policy in TAURON Group developed for this purpose is the foundation of the BCMS, defining its objectives, scope and distribution of competence in TAURON Group. The structure of the BCMS described therein takes into account the context of the TAURON Group's operations and illustrates its commitment and determination in building broadly understood operational resilience of the energy sector.

The provisions of the Policy and other regulations related to business continuity are communicated to TAURON Group employees on an ongoing basis.
